The song starts with a nice a capella ....thing, and thus starts the melody of the song. Some guitar is introduced along with the lyrics.
"Friends sing together." is the first lyric. Now, if you know about Flight of the Conchords, you'll know that most of their songs are part of the soundtrack to their T.V. show on HBO. Now, if you had watched the episode, it would be made abundantly clear that by this point in the episode, Bret and Jemaine are not Jim's friends. They actually think pretty lowly of him.
Somehow, I think good friends would NOT tell you if you've got food on your face. They'll just sit back and enjoy you looking like a pig in front of that girl you like.
They're saying that if their friend got hit by a truck....they'd try and put them back together....? Now, yeah, that's a good thing to try and do if it were possible, but it's not. So it just looks like some random guy on the street trying to put random hunks of meat together until they resemble what you once were.
I don't think my friends would avenge my death. Yeah, they may be mad at the guy who killed me, but AVENGING my DEATH? That's nothing short of saying "I love you." And I don't really want to think of my friends' relationship with me as "love."
I don't think friends would pop and lock together unless they're super best friends. Again, they'd just sit back, and watch you make a fool of yourself.
Well, if you consider the wrong type of people friends, they WOULD in fact, let you do crack.
Bret then goes on to explain his uncle John's gay relationship with a man named Ben, unaware of their sexuality, thinking they were just friends.
Thus ends another over analysis. I have decided that updates will be sporatic, and without warning.
...The End.
